Top Ten Tuesday – Book Titles That Would Make Good Band Names

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s title is a bit of fun: Titles That Would Make Good Band Names. Considering my taste in music is mostly classical, I haven’t given much thought to band names before, but a quick scroll through my Kindle library yielded plenty of options.

Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Enjoyed But Don’t Mention Often Enough

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt sent me all the way back to the beginning of my Goodreads “Read” list: Books I Enjoyed But Don’t Mention Often Enough. According to Goodreads, each of these books was a 5-star read for me, and looking back through my list was like rediscovering old friends. “Oh, I remember this one! Ooh, I really need to read this one again. I loved the hero in this one. All the feels!” and so on…

Top Ten Tuesday – Books I’ve Bought Because Of Recommendations

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt was a little open ended: Books I Bought/Borrowed Because… I love getting book recommendations from friends, and I’ve been introduced to many books that I would not have otherwise found because of recommendations, so it was a natural choice for me to give you some of the books that have been recommended to me over the years.

Some of these are quite recent recommendations (The Fireman’s Secret and Simply Starstruck), others are recommendations from years ago (Faro’s Daughter and Frenchman’s Creek). Some I’ve already read and enjoyed, others are sitting on my Kindle waiting for me to pick them up. And once again, it’s a rather eclectic list!

Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Signs You’re a Book Lover

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s prompt really got me thinking: 10 Signs You’re a Book Lover. I mean, you’d think it was pretty obvious, wouldn’t you? I’m a book lover, ergo, I should know all the signs. But it actually took me a bit of thought to come up with ten.

So here they are. Ten signs you’re a book lover. Let me know how many you identify with!

Top Ten Tuesday – Fictional Travel For Those Stuck at Home

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s prompt is a genre freebie—almost as good as a complete topic freebie. And as pretty much anyone reading this post is likely stuck at home thanks to Covid-19, I figured there was no better time for a list of books that will take you far away from those four walls you keep staring at!

Many of these novels involve travel by the main character(s), but some are simply set in another time and place. I’ve stuck to non English-speaking cultures and have included a variety of genres from romance through to suspense, historical through to contemporary, so there should be something here for everyone!

Top Ten Tuesday – Autumn TBR 2020!

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl where it’s time for AUTUMN TBR! I love these TBR (to-be-read) posts because I love dreaming about all the great reads in my future.

I’m also going to structure my post a little differently than usual, since I normally list my TBR books by month. I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m looking to change up my TBR a little. If you follow my blog, you’ll know that Christian fiction makes up the majority of my reading choices, and mostly new releases at that. What I’m hoping I can do over the next few months is still read and review new releases in Christian fiction, but also include some older releases that I’ve been wanting to read for a while as well as mixing in a classic or two and some general market reading. I’ll let you know how it goes!

Top Ten Tuesday – Bookish People to Follow on Social Media

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt (Authors Who Have a Fun Social Media Presence) was a little tough for me, and even broadening the scope to Bookish People to Follow on Social Media I didn’t quite make it to ten this week. Obviously I need to up my social media game!

The icon beside each name indicates the platform that I follow them on, and each name will link to that account, but many of these bookish people can be followed across more than one platform, so go nuts!

Top Ten Tuesday – One Word Titles

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is One Word Titles, and I’ve come up with a pretty random selection for you today. Let me tell you how my process went for this post.

“Oh, cool! Three of my favourite authors have whole SERIES that are one word titles.”

“Oh, I actually have to choose which Ronie Kendig series to feature. Hmm… Maybe Abiassa’s Fire, since I mention the Discarded Heroes series quite a bit.” …
