Top Ten Tuesday – Book Titles That Would Make Good Band Names

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s title is a bit of fun: Titles That Would Make Good Band Names. Considering my taste in music is mostly classical, I haven’t given much thought to band names before, but a quick scroll through my Kindle library yielded plenty of options.

THE REAL THING
Tina Ann Forkner

This title jumped out at me since I’m a fan of a Swedish vocal group called The Real Group.

BAND OF SISTERS
Cathy Gohlke

I’m thinking this would be an Australian band. It sounds like the kind of obvious name an Australian group would come up with!

DISTORTION
Terry Blackstock

Another obvious name, though this time for a heavy metal band.

ELIXIR
Davis Bunn

I have no idea what kind of band this name would suit, but it would be a fantastic name!

THE REMEDY
Serena Chase

While we’re on the subject, how about this one for a band name?

WRAPPED IN RED
Meghan M. Gorecki

I can totally see this as the name for an all-female string quartet who always wear red when they perform.

GIRLS ON THE LINE
Aimie K. Runyan

Maybe I’ve been influenced by the genre of this book, but I can see this being a great name for a retro all-girl vocal group, a kind of updated Andrews Sisters.

BLACK TIGER
Sara Baysinger

Again, I’m not sure what genre of music this group would be, but I think it makes a great name.

PIECES OF GRANITE
Brenda S. Anderson

Grunge band anyone?

EVE’S DAUGHTERS
Lynn Austin

I’m thinking this could be a great name for a cross-over group similar to The Corrs. I definitely hear Irish folk influences with this one.

What do you think? Do these band names work for you?
