Top Ten Tuesday – Most Anticipated Releases for the Second Half of 2020

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. And welcome to one of a few posts each year where I make absolutely NO attempt to stick to ten titles. 😂 But I do think I’ve done well limiting myself to twenty-four books. That’s only four books per month as an average!

If you’re interested to know my absolutely tippy-top most anticipated books from this list, look no further than Ronie Kendig’s books Soul Raging (November) and Dawn of Vengeance (December), Rachel McMillan’s The London Restoration (August), Susan May Warren’s The Price of Valor (October), Mimi Matthews’ Fair as a Star (July) and Gentleman Jim (November), and Tammy L. Gray’s Love and a Little White Lie (August).

Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Year Anniversary Special!

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Top Ten Tuesday turns ten this week, and so in celebration, it was suggested that we either pick a Top Ten post we missed or redo a favourite Top Ten post. I’ve decided to go rogue! Mwahahahaha! This week, I’m going to feature ten books that have the word TEN hidden somewhere in their title. Special thanks to my Kindle for making this super easy to do! Lol.

Top Ten Tuesday – Winter TBR 2020!

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl where it’s time for a Winter TBR post! I actually have a very busy winter coming up with various commitments, most notably moving into our new house! Despite COVID-19, our new home is nearly finished being built, so we’re busy organising all sorts of finishing details and getting ready to move in. Very exciting times!

Unfortunately, it means I will have less time for reading, but I still have some great reads to look forward to over the winter months. And if I happen to get more reading done than I anticipate, I also have a few reads from my Autumn TBR that are still waiting patiently…

Top Ten Tuesday – Why Books Get Added to My TBR

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s official topic is Books I’ve Added to My TBR and Forgotten Why. To be honest, forgetting why I’ve added a book to my TBR is not a problem I have. I mean, yes, it does happen occasionally, but trying to weed those books out of my general TBR would be like looking for a clear glass bead in the Sahara Desert.

So instead, you’re going to get a list today of ten reasons why a book might be added to my TBR. And it’s probably worth explaining how my TBR actually works, because I have several. 😁

Top Ten Tuesday – Books that Give Off Winter Vibes

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. It’s the second day of winter here in Australia, and while many of my international friends would laugh at my Australian version of winter (which never sees snow and only gets down to freezing on the coldest of nights, and rarely then), I have to say I am definitely feeling the cold today. I feel a bit cheated, really, that I have to endure cold weather without the benefit of snow. In my mind, if you’re going to live with the discomfort of cold, you might as well have some snow to make it worthwhile.

So while the majority of Top Ten Tuesday participants today will be sharing books that give off summer vibes (the official TTT for today), I’m sharing ten covers that most definitely give off winter vibes—and have some snow to show for it!

Top Ten Tuesday – Favourite Opening Lines

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. And I’m especially glad to be back after a two-week hiatus—the first, because I was super busy and just didn’t have time to post, the second because my website was down. 😒

But I’m so glad I’m back on board this week, because I love opening lines! In fact, I participate in a weekly feature called First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books blog, so I’m going to be spoiled for choice! But I will try to whittle my selection down to ten favourites. So here goes…

Top Ten Tuesday – Who to Host at a Murder Mystery Party

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt originally had me stumped. Things I’d Have at My Bookish Party. You’d think that at this time in our lives—a time when we’re all fondly remember that thing we used to call “being social”—I’d be extra keen to dream up a bookish party, but I just wasn’t feeling it today…until I started thinking about which characters I would invite to a bookish party.

Top Ten Tuesday – Children’s Classics I Missed In My Childhood

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is technically Books I Wish I Had Read as a Child, but I’ve just given it a slight twist and made my post about Children’s Classics I Missed in my Childhood. When I thought about some of the books I would include in my list, I found I didn’t necessarily wish I had read them in my childhood, sometimes because I think I had a much greater appreciation for the story when discovering it as an adult, and sometimes because I’ve enjoyed discovering these classics alongside my own children. In fact, I’m still waiting to discover some of these!
