Top Ten Tuesday – Non-Bookish Hobbies

Posted 3 November 2020 by Katie in Historical, Top Ten Tuesday / 8 Comments

Happy Tuesday, reading friends. It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week we’re talking about non-bookish hobbies, and I have to say, this list has made me realise just how much of my life revolves around books! Nevertheless, here goes:

1. Singing – I’m a classically trained singer and have spent many years of my life singing in choirs and small ensembles. You can probably figure out how that’s gone this year…

2. Cricket watching – the sport, not the insect! I’ve been an avid cricket fan since I was a kid, and I’ve now multiplied that cricket-tragicness by five through my children.

3. Sewing – Something I haven’t done much of in recent years, but I used to make a lot of my own clothes.

4. Driving my children around – What? That’s not a hobby? My mistake. I just seem to spend so much time doing it I figured it counts. 😉

Umm… I think I need to get myself some new hobbies. This list is abysmal! But really, there’s nothing I love more than diving into a book, and probably around eight times out of ten when I have spare time, you’ll find my head in a book.

That said, do you have a hobby you think I should take up? I’d love to know!

  1. Ha ha. I spend a lot of time driving my kids around, too! I should make them give me tips since I’m basically their own, personal chauffeur. My son is about to get his license, so now he’ll be able to his little sister around. Yay!

    Happy TTT!
