Top Ten Tuesday – New-To-Me Authors in 2020

Posted 26 January 2021 by Katie in Contemporary, Historical, Top Ten Tuesday / 9 Comments

Happy Tuesday, reading friends! It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl, and this week’s topic is New-To-Me Authors I Read in 2020. When I went back through my Goodreads list, I discovered I could actually do almost three lists this week—that’s how many new-to-me authors I read in 2020! So I’ve decided to give you a two-for-one deal today. I’m giving you a list of ten Christian fiction authors who were new to me in 2020 AND a list of general market authors who were new to me in 2020.

Some of these authors have been around for many years, and I decided to finally see what all the fuss was about, others are as new to everyone else as they are to me, and others are somewhere in between. I wonder whether I will manage as many new-to-me authors in 2021!

New-To-Me in Christian Fiction

The Gryphon Heist by James R. Hannibal
A Promise to Keep by Melony Teague
When I Close My Eyes by Elizabeth Musser

Tiger Queen by Annie Sullivan

Crystal Witness by Kathy Tyers
Lu. by Beth Troy
Hidden Current
by Sharon Hinck

Fragments of Light by Michele Phoenix
Things We Didn’t Say by Amy Lynn Green

Who was a new-to-you author for you in 2020?

  1. I absolutely LOVE Elantris! I hope you enjoyed it, too. I was pretty late to the Sanderson party, in general, as well, and it took my husband a lot of talking me into finally picking up one of his books and giving it a try, but I’m glad I did. xD He’s one of my favorite authors now! (But shhh, don’t tell hubby he was right! It’ll go straight to his head.)

    Here’s my TTT post.

I love your post and the books that you’ve shared! I am going to take a look at a few of these. Julia Quinn is new to me too, I guess she’s going to get a few of us with the hit series on Netflix and that dashing Duke! I loved The Alice Network and I should have added Kate Quinn to my list as well.

    Happy TTT!

  3. I haven’t read a novel by Sophie Kinsella but always thought they sounded fun. Also, Amy Lynn Green’s book sounds so good!! Hope you found some new favorites in this list. 🙂

  4. I’ve seen Sally Thorne’s names around, but I haven’t picked up a book by her yet! Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.blogspot.com/2021/01/top-ten-tuesday-new-to-me-authors-i.html.
