Top Ten Tuesday – Favourites That Should Have More Love

Posted 19 February 2019 by Katie in Christian Fiction, Top Ten Tuesday / 9 Comments

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday brought to you by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is technically Books I LOVED With Fewer Than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads. That actually covers quite a lot of my favourites, since I don’t tend to read a lot of popular general market fiction. So instead, I went to my Goodreads Favourites list and sorted it based on the number of ratings each book had. Making allowances for recent releases that haven’t had long to build up their ratings, here are ten books or series I figure not enough people know about. Because if they did, these books would have SO MANY MORE ratings!

The Uncloaked Trilogy – J. Rodes

True, dystopian isn’t everyone’s jam, but this series is compelling and thought-provoking. And feel free to check out my reviews for The Resistance, Tearing the Veil, and Charging the Darkness.

Turtles in the Road – Rhonda & Kaley Rhea

You don’t have to hang around here long before this book pops up. One of the funniest, sweetest contemporary romances I’ve ever read. You can read my review here.

Abiassa’s Fire Series – Ronie Kendig

If you love epic fantasy, or just love fantastic story-telling in any genre, then don’t bypass this series. Ronie Kendig writes the BEST characters no matter what genre she’s writing in. Check out my reviews for Accelerant and Fierian.

Backroads Series – Christina Coryell

If you love small-town dynamics (and we’re talking REALLY small town here) and fantastic characterisation, then you need to pick up this duology. Check out my reviews for Written in the Stars and Written in the Dust.

Chasing Someday – Crystal Walton

The hero in this novel had me completely smitten from the first page. He will totally steal your heart. You have been warned. Read my review here.

Rose in Three Quarter Time – Rachel McMillan

If you love marriage of convenience stories, this gorgeous novella is a must-read. And even if you just enjoy romance in general, this is a must-read. You can read my review here.

Finding Evergreen – Jennifer Rodewald

This one’s not a light and fluffy read. Brandi and Ethan have discovered that being married brings a few more challenges than falling in love did, especially when you add a broken foster daughter into the mix. But if there’s one thing Jennifer Rodewald does well, it’s taking her characters on journey of healing and restoration. You can read my review here.

The Thorn Keeper – Pepper D. Basham

This is another one that’s not so light and fluffy, but it’s another winner. Catherine’s turned over a new leaf, but her past casts a long shadow. Dr. David Ross is just the man to show her that she doesn’t have to live in that shadow. Check out this review from Bookworm Mama.

Bentwood Series – Tammy L. Gray

I’m still waiting for book three in this series, but that just means you have plenty of time to catch up with books one and two before it comes out, right? These books are technically contemporary romance, but the series is as much about friendship and family as it is romance, with some very compelling characters! Read my review of Until I Knew Myself and The Truth Between Us.

The Raveling – Tamara Leigh

Tamara Leigh’s books are always winners. This one is the final book in her Age of Faith series, and if you haven’t read the rest yet, you’re really missing out. Read my review here.

Have you read any of these books? Don’t forget, one of the best ways to show author love is by leaving a review!

I’ve read and reviewed EVERYTHING by Tamara Leigh and Ronie Kendig because I <3 them and their books SO much and want others to pick them up. After hearing about Christina Coryell's series (mostly from you and Carrie Schmidt of Reading is My Superpower) I finally bought, devoured and reviewed them. Tammy L. Gray and Crystal Walton are newish authors to me, but have proven themselves with fantastically written books that rated 5-stars with me on Goodreads. I truly wish more people would read all these extremely talented authors and then post a review so others would check them out. And on that note, I appreciate you as a blogger recommending such great books that I otherwise would've never read.
