Top Ten Tuesday – Covers That Say Spring

Posted 6 October 2020 by Katie in Top Ten Tuesday / 6 Comments

Happy Tuesday, reading friends. It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week we’re featuring covers that have fall/autumn colours or vibes, or in my case, spring colours/vibes, since I live in the southern hemisphere.

When I started browsing through the covers of all the books on my Kindle, I didn’t have a specific idea of what I was looking for, but it wasn’t long before I worked out that certain tones of blue and green say spring to me. Here in Australia, it’s green grass and blue skies, but without the extreme heat that characterises our summers (and often turns the grass a golden-wheat colour). Hence, you’ll find lots of these covers feature greenery, a certain hue of blue in the sky, and perhaps just a hint of a breeze. Ah, spring!

Forsaken Island – Sharon Hinck
This Won’t End Well – Camille Pagàn
The Mistress of Tall Acre – Laura Frantz

The Memory House – Rachel Hauck
Moondust Lake – Davis Bunn

More Than Meets the Eye – Karen Witemeyer
Literarily for KeepsSarah Monzon
True to You – Becky Wade

Perennials – Julie Cantrell
On Love’s Gentle Shore
– Liz Johnson

Which of these covers says “spring” to you?

  1. This post has me wishing for spring again! As much as I’m enjoying the start of fall, some extended greenery that’s not wilting in the heat sounds nice aright about now. That cover for Literarily for Keeps is too cute! And I really like the one for The Memory House.
