Happy Tuesday, book lovers! It’s that time of the week again, and today’s topic from That Artsy Reader Girl is Binge-worthy TV shows. I’m not much of a TV watcher, so I’m turning this week’s topic back to books, because there are SOOOOOOOO many binge-worthy book series I could share with you!

I have definitely been known to binge-read whole series—most notably the time I read the ENTIRE Chronicles of Narnia one day when I was sick! Today I’m going to share a mix of series I have personally binge-read, series I would have binge-read had I not had to wait for the next book to be written(!!), and series I would like to binge-read.

WARNING: Binge-reading these series may result in a serious case of book indigestion. Don’t worry. It will pass. 😉

Series I’ve Binge-read

The Zion Chronicles by Bodie Thoene

This is a hefty series to binge-read. They’re not short or light reads, and the print in my copies was small, too. I may also have had a few nights of not-so-much sleep, but it was so worth it. Set at the very beginning of Israel’s rebirth as a nation following the end of WWII, they’re absolutely absorbing!

The Age of Faith by Tamara Leigh

Technically, I can only claim to have binge-read the first five books in this series, because that’s all that had been written when I first discovered them. But I would so binge-read all eight if I was just starting now. If you love medieval fiction, you simply MUST try this series. <3

Discarded Heroes by Ronie Kendig

Okay, confession. I may have actually binge-read two series back-to-back when I first discovered Ronie Kendig. But this was the first one. And if you’ve hung around here long, you probably already know that. But this is still one of my favourite series, so they bear resharing! The fourth book in the series is currently unavailable as it is in the process of being updated and re-released, but the first three books in the series have already been through that process. The fifth book, Lygos, is a novella that was added to the series last year, so if you haven’t discovered this fantastic series yet, then you get to binge-read all FIVE!

The Bowers Files by Steven James

Yes, I truly binge-read this whole series. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. Patrick Bowers is a geographical profiler, and there is one seriously sick criminal who takes the entire series to finally corner (hence the titles), but each book also has a self-contained crime for our man to solve. These books were so intellectually stimulating, and the characters were fantastic! Highly recommended if you like your thrillers on the grittier end of the scale!

Camdyn Taylor by Christina Coryell

Now for something a little lighter—although it definitely packs an emotional punch at times, too. Camdyn Taylor is unique. There’s no other word for her. She’s prone to getting herself into awkward situations, but you can’t help getting swept up in her story. And Cole… 😍😍😍 Best of all, Christina Coryell has just announced their story will be continuing on 16 October 2018! https://www.facebook.com/AuthorChristinaCoryell/photos/a.303548203149314/1017540101750117/?type=3&theater

I gotta say, though. That title has me a little nervous… 😟

Series I Would Have Binge-Read if I Hadn’t Had to Wait for the Next Book to be Written

If I Run by Terri Blackstock

Don’t you love those covers! Accused of a crime she didn’t commit, Casey Cox is on the run. This series is like a giant game of cat and mouse, and there are twists aplenty. And I had to wait a whole YEAR between books! Argh! But wait no longer. 🙂

Summer of the Burning Sky by Susan May Warren

Okay, so technically, I only had to wait a month between each book, but still! The Jude County Smokejumpers have headed to Alaska to help battle the fires, and they’ve conscripted a group of prisoners to help with the grunt work. Except one of the prisoners isn’t the low-security prisoner they thought he was, and now he’s on the run… Plenty of action and romance!

The Uncloaked Trilogy by J. Rodes

It was SO hard to wait for each of the books in this series as they came out. The characters in this series were so compelling and their situation so challenging it was liek being in emotional limbo between each book. Luckily, you won’t have to suffer the same fate!

Series I’m Waiting to Binge-Read

The Unblemished Trilogy by Sara Ella

I’ve heard so many good things about this fantasy trilogy, and I actually have all three books sitting on my Kindle. I just haven’t quite managed to find the time to squeeze them in yet. 🙁

River of Time by Lisa T. Bergren

Another series I’ve heard a lot of good talk about, this time a time-travel series. And they’re travelling back in time to 14th Century Italy! Ahhh….

Have you binge-read any of these series? Or is there a series you’d really like to binge-read? Do share!

  1. I’ve also waited to binge read Sara Ella’s series. I love Tamara Leigh’s and Lisa Bergren’s series both. And I’m pretty sure that all of Ronie’s series are binge-worthy! FYI I just finished reading Christina Coryell’s duology Written in the Stars/Dust, thanks to your reviews and I loved it.
