Tzivia’s phone vibrated, dancing across her desk.  Though she didn’t recognize the number, she answered, grateful – desperate? – for a distraction.  “Hello?”
“Thank you for taking my call.  I have important details about the mace and its travel to Nigeria.”
“Oh.”  Tzivia glanced at her monitor.  “I’m sorry, but Dr. Cathey isn’t-”  She snapped her mouth closed.  Then frowned.  “Wait.  No.  It went to Syria, not Nigeria.”  She froze.  “How do you even know-”
“It is lost.  And you must find it.  Return it to the cradle.”
Lost?  That wasn’t possible.  She wagged her hand at Noel and mouthed manifest and then pointed to her monitor.  “I’m not sure who you are.  But-”
“Tzivia Khalon, daughter of Eli Khalon, the task is yours.”
Dau- “Who are you?  How do you know my father?”
Alarm speared her.  Why would this man use her father’s name – her name?  “I’m sorry, I really think there’s a mistake.  If you want to talk to Dr. Cathey-”
“Have you talked to him recently?”
The way he said that caused a splinter of doubt about the professor’s safety to form.  “That’s not very nice.”
Noel was at her side, frowning.  Tzivia hit the speaker-phone button.
“War is rarely nice, young one.”
“Okay, I’m hanging up-”
“He will call.  Go to Syria, Tzivia.  You must help the warrior.  They will need you.”

My review
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!  Wait.  Scrap that.  HOOAH!  This novella gives you a whole lot of bang for absolutely zero bucks (at the moment, anyway)!

The Warrior’s Seal is the prequel novella to Ronie Kendig’s Tox Files series, which I have been waiting f-o-r-e-v-e-r for, and it does not disappoint.  Tox and his team are called in when the President and his wife, along with three secret service men, go missing on a humanitarian trip to Nigeria.

At John Hopkins University in Maryland, Tzivia Khalon receives a mysterious phone call warning her that the Mace of Death – an ancient artefact that she recently shipped to her mentor, Dr. Cathey, in Syria, has gone missing.  For that matter, so has Dr. Cathey…

I’m not going to tell you any more than that, but be prepared for action, tension, explosions, and jaw-dropping (your own, that is)!  If you weren’t already chafing at the bit for Conspiracy of Silence, you certainly will be by the time you’re finished with this novella!

Coming 6th December 2016!

conspiracy-of-silenceFour years after a tragic mission decimated his career and his team, Cole “Tox” Russell is persona non grata to the United States. And that’s fine–he just wants to be left alone. But when a dormant, centuries-old disease is unleashed, Tox is lured back into action.

Partnered with FBI agent Kasey Cortes, Tox has to pull together a team to begin a globe-spanning search for answers–and a cure. As their quest leads them from continent to continent, it slowly becomes clear they’re not just fighting a plague–but battling against an ancient secret society whose true goals remain hidden.

With time running out and opposition growing on every side, the key to everything may rest in an antique codex, the Crown of Jerusalem–but will Tox and his team be able to trust each other enough to break this century-spanning conspiracy of silence?
