Top Ten Tuesday – Ten Classic Covers That Aren’t So Classic

Happy Tuesday, reading friends. It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl, and this week’s prompt is a cover freebie, which left me stumped for quite some time…until I thought about some of the, shall we say, not-so-classic covers I’ve seen for Kindle editions of classic novels. I don’t mind telling you I’ve let out a snort or two while putting together today’s post, because some of these covers are just…well, I’ll let you decide for yourself!

Top Ten Tuesday – Ten Children’s Classics I Haven’t Read

Happy Tuesday, reading friends. It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl, and this week’s prompt is Books for My Younger Self. I’ve decided to give you ten children’s classics that I haven’t read (*gasp*), including two Australian classics, and I’d love to know which of these you have or haven’t read yourself. Have I neglected one of your favourites?

Top Ten Tuesday – Covers To Make You Hungry (or Thirsty)

After a long break while we moved home, I’m finally getting back in the swing of things around here again! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl, is a foodie-themed prompt. Technically, it’s Books That Make Me Hungry, but I stopped at front covers! I didn’t want to overwork myself after all that moving. 😉

So this week, I’m featuring covers that have food or drinks pictured on the cover. And I was surprised that there were far fewer covers in my collection than I expected. But I think I’ve come up with a nice selection of tastes to stimulate your taste buds, so I’d love to know which cover appeals to you most based on the food or drink pictured. I’m having trouble deciding between that bowl of strawberries and the pie on the last cover. Mmm-mm! Have a great week!

Top Ten Tuesday – Authors I’ve Read the Most

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s top ten prompt is Authors I’ve Read the Most Books By, which had me thinking back to some of the series I enjoyed as a kid as well as some of my favourite authors today. Of course, it helps if you’re a prolific author, like some of the authors in my list, and it probably comes as no real surprise that some of these authors are still favourites today! As long as they keep writing, I’ll keep reading them!

Top Ten Tuesday – Most Anticipated Releases for the Second Half of 2020

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. And welcome to one of a few posts each year where I make absolutely NO attempt to stick to ten titles. 😂 But I do think I’ve done well limiting myself to twenty-four books. That’s only four books per month as an average!

If you’re interested to know my absolutely tippy-top most anticipated books from this list, look no further than Ronie Kendig’s books Soul Raging (November) and Dawn of Vengeance (December), Rachel McMillan’s The London Restoration (August), Susan May Warren’s The Price of Valor (October), Mimi Matthews’ Fair as a Star (July) and Gentleman Jim (November), and Tammy L. Gray’s Love and a Little White Lie (August).

Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Year Anniversary Special!

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Top Ten Tuesday turns ten this week, and so in celebration, it was suggested that we either pick a Top Ten post we missed or redo a favourite Top Ten post. I’ve decided to go rogue! Mwahahahaha! This week, I’m going to feature ten books that have the word TEN hidden somewhere in their title. Special thanks to my Kindle for making this super easy to do! Lol.

Top Ten Tuesday – Winter TBR 2020!

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl where it’s time for a Winter TBR post! I actually have a very busy winter coming up with various commitments, most notably moving into our new house! Despite COVID-19, our new home is nearly finished being built, so we’re busy organising all sorts of finishing details and getting ready to move in. Very exciting times!

Unfortunately, it means I will have less time for reading, but I still have some great reads to look forward to over the winter months. And if I happen to get more reading done than I anticipate, I also have a few reads from my Autumn TBR that are still waiting patiently…

Top Ten Tuesday – Why Books Get Added to My TBR

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s official topic is Books I’ve Added to My TBR and Forgotten Why. To be honest, forgetting why I’ve added a book to my TBR is not a problem I have. I mean, yes, it does happen occasionally, but trying to weed those books out of my general TBR would be like looking for a clear glass bead in the Sahara Desert.

So instead, you’re going to get a list today of ten reasons why a book might be added to my TBR. And it’s probably worth explaining how my TBR actually works, because I have several. 😁
