Looking Forward to Biblical Fiction in 2020

Posted 15 January 2020 by Katie in Biblical Fiction, Christian Fiction, Historical, Romance / 3 Comments

Welcome back, reader friends. Biblical fiction may not be a prolific genre, but it’s one of my favourites (hence my Biblical Fiction Finder), and I’m looking forward to so many of the biblical fiction releases that are coming up.

As there are relatively few biblical fiction releases, I haven’t separated them by publisher as I’ve done with my previous posts. Here, you will just find the traditionally published releases listed in chronological order followed by the independent and small publisher releases in chronological order.

And speaking of my previous posts, make sure you check them out if you’ve missed them!
Contemporary Romance
Romantic Suspense

Thriller/Suspense/Mystery
Historical Romance

New Releases

Here’s a quick rundown on forthcoming releases from the major Christian publishers for the first half of 2020.

Daughter of Rome by Tessa Afshar (4 February 2020)
Isaiah’s Legacy by Mesu Andrews (18 February 2020)
Star of Persia by Jill Eileen Smith (3 March 2020)
Like Flames in the Night by Connilyn Cossette (3 March 2020)
Daughter of Cana by Angela Hunt (31 March 2020)

And, of course, there are some indie (independent) and small press titles releasing too!

Note: Indie and small press releases are not usually available for pre-order as far in advance as traditionally published novels, so there will likely be more releases available in this category in the next couple of months.

A Death Well Lived by Daniel Overdorf (14 January 2020)
Killing a Messiah by Adam Winn (14 January 2020)
The Bethany Tales by Bryan E. Canter (15 February 2020)
Heavenly Lights
by Barbara M. Britton (21 February 2020)
Through the Eyes of a Spy by Kenneth Winter (20 March 2020)
Claiming Canaan by Barbara M. Britton (1 May 2020)

Katie’s TBR

As I said, biblical fiction is a favourite genre of mine, so it will come as little surprise that the majority of these new releases are on my 2020 TBR.

Which biblical fiction reads are on your TBR in 2020?

  1. I read Isaiah Legacy by Mesu Andrews and I like the story of King Manasseh and Shulle. I pre-order Daughter of Rome by Tessa Afshar and I can’t wait to read it. I will like to read Star of Persia by Jill Eileen Smith.
