Happy Friday, book lovers, and welcome to another First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books. If you’re a lover of historical fiction, I think you’re going to love the book I’m sharing with you today. Verity is the second book in Lisa T. Bergren’s series The Sugar Baron’s Daughters, set in the West Indies in the 1770s. What a setting, right? But it’s a great plot too. It’s a really sweet book I highly recommend. Currently, I am reading A Silken Thread by Kim Vogel Sawyer, so I will share the first line from chapter 7.
