Happy Friday, book lovers, and welcome to First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books. I’m just about to dive into another long anticipated book this week—the second book in Susan May Warren’s Montana Marshalls series: Tate. It releases this coming Tuesday, 9 July, and it promises to be another riveting read!
About the Book

Maybe it’s his propensity to get entangled in other people’s problems. A member of the country band, the Yankee Belles, Glo was targeted in a recent terrorist attack designed to deter her mother from running, and Tate will do anything to keep her safe. Even if it means letting her go.

Stubborn and brave, Glo isn’t about to hide from threats, at least the kind that won’t cost her heart. But when danger threatens them both, what will they sacrifice to keep each other safe?
As the presidential campaign heats up and the threats deepen, so does the attraction between Tate and Glo. But what will it cost Tate to keep her alive? And what will Glo do to keep from losing another man she loves?

I’m sharing from Sing a New Song by Candee Fick on my blog, which is a fun contemporary romance. I’ve just started reading Across the Blue by Carrie Turansky, which is set in England in 1909. Here’s the first line:
