Hello Word Nerds! I had to laugh when I stumbled upon today’s word: scurryfunge (SKUH-ree-funj). What a word! I’m going to throw it out there and ask you ‘What Do You Think It Means?’, but for a little bit of variation, I’m going to give you four options to choose from. One of these options is the correct definition, and the others are complete and utter fabrications. Can you pick the correct one?
Scurryfunge definition (a) – the loose hair from your pet that ends up coating your clothes, your carpet, your lounge, your bed…
Scurryfunge definition (b) – to rush around cleaning when company is on their way over.
Scurryfunge definition (c) – the ring of discolouration around the water line in your toilet.
Scurryfunge definition (d) – the frantic stage of searching for a lost item where you’re no longer thinking about logical places to look, but simply tossing up everything in your path in the hopes that you will unearth said missing item.
Remember, no cheating! Google is watching you! Which do you think is the correct definition? Answer next week. 🙂

All of the above? 😀 It sounds like a wonderfully useful word. Okay, if I have to choose one, I’ll say B. It looks like it would fit best.

    • Haha! I would certainly find it useful in all of those cases! Well, except for the pet hair. We don’t have a pet, but I’ve had enough experiences with other people’s pets to know it would definitely be a useful word in that case, too.

I think B. At least, that’s how I feel when I learn company is on their way at the last minute.

I’ll go with A because there’s pet hair all over everything we own, ha!
