Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday for another week. This week’s topic from That Artsy Reader Girl is Favourite Bookish Blogs and Websites. I have to admit that, as much as I’d love to, I don’t get much time to read other book blogs. 😔 Aside from which, I have a lot of blogging friends, and I wouldn’t want to leave anyone out! So I thought I would share some of my favourite websites and resources as a book lover and book blogger.
Goodreads
https://www.goodreads.com – I don’t know where I’d be without Goodreads. I can keep track of all the books I’ve read AND the ones I want to read. And I can check out reviews, too.
Canva
https://www.canva.com/ – Graphics really help liven up a blog post, and there’s something satisfying about creating great graphics to share on social media too. I make all of my graphics through Canva. It has its limitations, and I could do a lot more with it if I wasn’t a penny-pincher 😉 but it’s so much fun to bring your favourite quotes to life. Speaking of which, I’ve just started a Pinterest board where I’ll be collecting my favourite quote graphics. I don’t have a wide selection there yet, but I’ll be adding to it regularly from now on: https://www.pinterest.com.au/katiedonovan357/book-quotes/
Pixabay
https://pixabay.com/ – Remember those limitations I mentioned about Canva? If you want to use Canva for free, the Pixabay is your next best friend. It has oodles of free graphics and photos you can search, and I often find myself zipping over there to pick up some background graphics to match a particular quote. Like this one I did recently for Susan May Warren’s The Heat is On.
DIY Book Covers
http://diybookcovers.com/3Dmockups/ – See that book cover in the corner of the graphic I just posted? DIY Book Covers is a handy little website where you can upload a book cover and choose from a variety of 3D mockups with paperback, Kindle, and phone looks. Takes 30 seconds and looks pretty classy!
Buffer
https://buffer.com – Buffer can be a great time-saver if you’re trying to keep up with several social media platforms. Social media has become a great way to promote books—the more exposure the better—but it can be time consuming sharing posts to each different platform. You can also schedule posts in advance, which means if you’re influencing for several books that are releasing at once, you can sit down and schedule them across the week all in one go! Brilliant!
EreaderIQ
https://www.ereaderiq.com/ – Maybe it’s because BookBub doesn’t make all its services available outside the US, or maybe it’s because I found EreaderIQ first, but this is my go-to site for ebook sales. I’m currently watching over 700 authors, and each time there is a drop in price on one of their books, it comes up in my list of notifications. (As an aside, I learned very quickly to turn off email alerts and just check my notifications list on the website!) And you can tailor the notifications to your specifications. For example, you can specify that you only want to be notified if a book falls below a certain price.
Netgalley
https://www.netgalley.com – Book blogger heaven. Here is where the gold is, especially for this non-US book reviewer. Netgalley makes electronic ARCs (Advance Reader Copies) available to reviewers, and it can sometimes be a SERIOUS exercise in self-control to keep my ARC TBR under control.
(PS – Most requests are subject to approval by the publisher, and many publishers like you to have a blog before they’ll approve your request, so I haven’t just handed you a general pass to free ARCs 😊)
Avid Readers of Christian Fiction
https://www.facebook.com/groups/AvidChristFicReaders/ – This one is actually a Facebook group, but if you love to chat about Christian fiction, then this is the group to join on Facebook. Be warned: Many new members have suffered from TBR overload! (And many long-term members too, for that matter!)
Well, it’s not quite ten, but now you know some of my favourite bookish haunts and resources.
Been with Netgalley for seven years, and I LOVE ereaderIQ. So handy.
Some of these are so helpful and yes I have just signed up to Buffer to start scheduling content haha.
Also, I am addicted to Goodreads.

Netgalley is a dangerous place, but it’s so fun, too. 🙂
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!
i need to play around with Buffer more!
I use Canva to make most of my graphics. I love how easy it is to make stuff that doesn’t look awful.
NetGalley is a total exercise in self control… 😉
