Happy Tuesday, reading friends. It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is Super Long Book Titles, and I admit I had some help from Goodreads Lists for this one! I’ve read a few of the titles on my list, but the rest are books I’d never even heard of until I went looking for books with super long titles! I’m curious to read some of them now, though, so let me know if you’ve read any of these and enjoyed them. (I’ve read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck, and The Most Famous Illegal Goose Creek Parade).
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society – Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day – Judith Viorst The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making – Catherynne M. Valente
The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared – Jonas Jonasson The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck – Bethany Turner
The Sweet, Terrible, Glorious Year I Truly, Completely Lost It – Lisa Shanahan The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight – Jennifer E. Smith The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet – Jamie Ford
The Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Famous Moll Flanders – Daniel Defoe The Most Famous Illegal Goose Creek Parade – Virginia Smith
Amazing list! The longest book I’ve read is probably only Eleanor oliphant – I like your choices haha, I honestly hadn’t realised how long some of them get 😁 I tried this prompt but I eventually tried ‘ranking the Simons of literature’. Of which I thought there was a lot but turns out there isn’t really lol. I guess it’s also to do with names? It tenuous I know, but check it out if you want to see how Simon cowell ranks against Simon spier! https://hundredsandthousandsofbooks.blog/2020/10/13/ttt-ranking-fictional-simons-and-real-ones-i-ran-out/
Jonas Jonasson definitely has long titles…and this reminds me I’m yet to read the Fairyland books, I’ve hear so much about them. Thanks for a great post today.
I’ve only read Guernsey but apparently, that’s one of the most noted in this meme!
I’ve heard so many good things about The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society.
My post.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is a classic! I’d like to read The Guernsey..Society. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
