Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl. It’s the second day of winter here in Australia, and while many of my international friends would laugh at my Australian version of winter (which never sees snow and only gets down to freezing on the coldest of nights, and rarely then), I have to say I am definitely feeling the cold today. I feel a bit cheated, really, that I have to endure cold weather without the benefit of snow. In my mind, if you’re going to live with the discomfort of cold, you might as well have some snow to make it worthwhile.
So while the majority of Top Ten Tuesday participants today will be sharing books that give off summer vibes (the official TTT for today), I’m sharing ten covers that most definitely give off winter vibes—and have some snow to show for it!
Hawk by Ronie Kendig The Weaver’s Daughter by Sarah E. Ladd Covent Garden in the Snow by Jules Wake
Evergreen by Susan May Warren Twist of Fate by Rachael Anderson
Providence by Chris Coppernoll The Queen by Steven James Sabotaged by Dani Pettrey
Cold as Ice by M.K. Gilroy Falling Like Snowflakes by Denise Hunter
Ha! Love it 🙂 Yep, feeling the cold here in Qld, and also feeling a bit silly for feeling so cold when it’s only just under 20 degrees… :p But that wind! Thanks for the post! Feeling very cold now 🙂
I have! I spent two weeks in The Netherlands over New Years about eleven years ago and it was such a wonderful experience. There was only one very light snowfall over night while we were there, but we were able to walk across a frozen river, which was a completely novel experience, and the temperature was definitely a new kind of cold. We were staying with my husband’s extended family (his grandfather is Dutch) and one of the memories that sticks with me the most is the way they simply stored their excess refrigerated items on the table on the back deck! As lovely as it was, though, I’m definitely not built for those kinds of winters 😊
It’s summer here in the Pacific Northwest. The Pacific Northwest is in USA. The book, sabotage, has a lovely cover. And plus my favorite dog is on that cover as well. A great list. And this is off the subject of books, have you heard of Flying The Nest? They have a vlog on YouTube and they travel around the world. They also live in Australia too. If you traveling, in that fog is for you.

It is spring here in Canada, but only three weeks away from Summer, I am loving the warmer days.
Oh, how I envy you! Enjoy!

Oh, so you’ve had cold wind today too? Our temps were only low teens here, but the wind chill knocked it back almost ten degrees!
Love your list! And I feel your pain — middle Georgia rarely sees snow. The closest we get is cold rain.
Cold rain is just miserable!
Evergreen has such a pretty cover. And I wish I could send you some of Ontario’s snow. Some years we get a ton of it!
My TTT .
Haha. That would be a very soggy parcel! ☺️
It’s summer here in the UK. I actually like the Winter, I prefer cold weather to hot, but I do admit, I feel a bit cheated when it’s cold but no snow too!

Have you ever visited a country that has very cold winters? I’d be curious to experience Australia’s version of winter!
