Happy Tuesday, readers! Today’s topic at That Artsy Reader Girl is Series I’ve Given Up On/Don’t Plan to Finish. Since I found that to be an uninspiring topic, I’m going rogue again, and a couple of events have conspired to convince me that there is no better time to post my ‘best of’ list for January to June:
- Today is the last Top Ten Tuesday post for the first half of 2018. (I’ll pause for a moment to give you the chance to process that last sentence!)
- My hubby is going away at the end of the week for a little over two weeks, so I’m going to be the sole parent/teacher/referee/housekeeper/taxi/counselor of our five children. 😳 Needless to say, I won’t be hanging around here quite so much, and I definitely don’t have time to do an extensive ‘best of’ series.
With that in mind, I’ve picked ten books (yes, I actually limited myself to ten!!) that were released this year and which stand out in my memory for various reasons. I really enjoyed sooooo many more, but these were the cream of the crop for me.
And just for something different (and because they’re so pretty), I’m giving you a meme for each of my books today. If you click on the meme, that will take you to my review for that book.
You mentioned two of my absolute favorites (A Light on the Hill & Falling For You). Here are a few more so far for 2018:
* Troubled Waters – Susan May Warren
* The Cat of the Baskervilles – Vicki Delany
* The Awakening – Tamara Leigh
* Beneath the Surface – Lynn Blackburn
* The Masterpiece – Francine Rivers
* A Loyal Heart – Jody Hedlund
* Lone Witness – Rachel Dylan
Sadly, many of these still remain on my TBR list. But I made a favorites list a couple of weeks back which included, Olivia Twist, If Spring Comes, The Creek Country Saga, The House on Foster HIll and others. In fact, looking at my Goodreads ratings, most of the books I’ve read so far this year I’ve rated four or five stars. I’ve had a good reading year so far obviously!
I’ve only read 3 of these! 😱
You picked goodness ones! I’ve read four on your list, have two that still need to be read on my TBR and the rest are on my wish list.
love these memes!
Some of these sound right up my street 🙂
