Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl where it’s time for AUTUMN TBR! I love these TBR (to-be-read) posts because I love dreaming about all the great reads in my future.
I’m going to structure my post a little differently this time around. I normally list my TBR books by month in these TBR posts, but I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m looking to change up my reading life a little. If you follow my blog, you’ll know that Christian fiction makes up the majority of my reading choices, and mostly new releases at that. What I’d like to do over the next few months is still read and review new releases in Christian fiction, but also include some older releases that I’ve been wanting to read for a while as well as mixing in a classic or two and some general market reading. I’ll let you know how it goes!
First up, these are the new releases in Christian fiction that I’ll be reading over the next three months.
My book club will be reading James R. Hannibal’s The Gryphon Heist in April and How the Light Gets In by Jolina Petersheim (which I’ve already read twice!) in May.
Soooooo many of my friends have raved about Carla Laureano’s MacDonald Family series, and as the third book in the series is finally releasing in July this year, I want to read the first two so I’ll be ready for it!
I’ve picked a couple of general market bestsellers that I’d like to check out at some point. Love to hear people’s thoughts on these if you’ve read any of them!
Finally, some random picks. It’s a while since I’ve listened to some Dickens, so I’d love to do Little Dorrit on audiobook. I recently read the first book in Ashley Weaver’s Amory Ames series and really enjoyed it, so I’d love to read the next one. I listened to Raymond Chandler’s The Big Sleep last year via Audible and loved it, so I’d love to listen to another. Plus, since I’m in a noir-ish mood, a good friend of mine absolutely LOVES Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files. It’s not exactly what you’d call my typical read, but I fell in love with the character’s voice when I read the sample I downloaded, so now I really want to read the whole thing!
So, goodness knows whether I’ll get through all these books, but I’ll sure give it a shot, especially since it seems we’re none of us going to be going places for a while!
What’s on your TBR for autumn (or spring for all my northern hemisphere friends)?
I’ve heard great things about Where the Crawdad Sings.
My TTT .
Looking forward to a great reading future! Thanks, Katie!
Great list! I really enjoyed Where the Crawdads Sing. It’s a slow burn but the writing is so wonderful! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
I loved Attachments! (the only Rainbow Rowell book I recommend lol)
Haha. Yeah, I’ve checked out the synopses for a few of her others and thought that might be the case ☺️
