About the Collection
For His glory…
The Mosaic Collection is an international community of women authors who use faith-based fiction to touch hearts with the good news that Christ’s finished work on the cross has made us one family, and to nurture affection for the people God has placed within our circles of influence, so that the grace and glory of God may become visible and personal to everyone we meet.
…and our good
We are sisters, a beautiful mosaic united by the love of God through the blood of Christ. We have experienced the redemptive, restorative power of God’s grace in our marriages and families, and we believe our God is able to heal, restore and redeem our brokenness. His love fills us with the courage to persevere, and to offer others a Christ-like compassion that is full of His wisdom and grace.

Cornerstone message from the collection
God never promised believers that life would be easy, he promised us that he would never leave us or forsake us. Whatever we are going through, he is with us and we are never alone.
I hope and pray that my message encourages readers to remember that they are not alone when they are going through tough times. We often don’t understand why God allows certain things to happen to us or those we love, but we can trust that he is good, that he is sovereign and in control, and that he will never leave us.

Ministering Through Fiction
There’s something incredibly powerful about story. Jesus knew it, and illustrated the truths he was trying to impart to crowds through parables, stories of real people going through real-life stuff like losing money, running away from home, or selling everything to buy a treasure. Experiences everybody could understand and relate to. And through those stories, the people learned valuable truths about forgiveness, what the Kingdom of Heaven is all about, and who God is. And they learned those truths in such a way that not only would they never forget, but they would be able to pass those truths along to their children by telling them those stories too. Just like I told my kids the story of The Prodigal Son and The Good Samaritan and the Lost Sheep when they were growing up. While they thought they were simply listening to their favourite stories, they were really learning about the great love and mercy of God, who their neighbours are and how they should treat them, and the way Jesus relentlessly pursues us and doesn’t let us go when we wander away from him.
While truly powerful stories contain eternal truths based on right theology, theological treatises must contain stories or they will not hold the attention of readers. Both are needed. Stories that demonstrate the applicability of theology to real life give depth and meaning to the truths laid out in a sermon or non-fiction article or book. And stories that contain strong biblical truths offer readers so much more than just a few hours of mindless entertainment.
Christian fiction takes the principles laid out in the Bible and in non-fiction and demonstrates how to live those principles out in reality.

Christian fiction takes the principles laid out in the Bible and in non-fiction and demonstrates how to live those principles out in reality. It shows, not just tells, what it looks like when faith is tested, when trials come that rock that faith, what we can cling to when our world comes crashing down around us. In short, Christian fiction offers hope that what is found in those theology books actually stands up in real life, through the grace of God.
And because it does, it ministers to readers on a soul-deep level. When a character sees the gospel being lived out in the life of another character, or hears a sermon that opens his eyes, ears, and heart to the truth of God’s love and mercy, the reader may experience the same realization and his heart may also be transformed. Or another reader, in the midst of a crisis in her own life, may read about a character navigating through a difficult journey that leads her to the realization that God is with her, that He has heard her prayers even when it felt as though no one was listening. And she may be encouraged to persevere through her own trials with renewed strength and faith.
I have personally heard many stories of people picking up a Christian novel and reading something that changed their hearts or even their lives, as though God had guided them to that particular story just when they needed to see those truths lived out in the lives of the characters.
And that’s the power of Christian fiction. It is a tool that God can and does use to convey a message to a reader during a season of life when he or she needs it the most. To remind readers that they are not alone and that, whatever they are going through in life, He is with them and will bring them through to the other side.
Christian fiction offers hope that what is found in those theology books actually stands up in real life, through the grace of God.
