Boundless (Tamara Leigh) – Review

THE WULFRITHS. IT ALL BEGAN WITH A WOMAN

A battle. A crown. The conqueror. The conquered. Medieval England—forever changed by the Battle of Hastings. And the rise of the formidable Wulfriths.

DECEIT WRAPPED IN SOMETHING SWEET

After aiding the English resistance who once more fail to reclaim their country from the invaders, Lady Marguerite returns home to Scotland in the aftermath of William the Conqueror’s harrying of the North—and does not come alone. Accompanying the Sparrow of King Malcolm’s Court is a warrior mistakenly believed her enemy, the price for which may be his irreparable loss of sight. Burdened by having laid the trap for a man she regrets not recognizing sooner, and strangely drawn to him, she determines she will be the one to tend this Norman. But that is possible only if he does not learn she is responsible for what could strip the warrior from him. When her deception is unveiled, will he reject what he has come to feel for her? When he leaves, will he take her heart with him?

Happy Friday and welcome to First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books. It’s a day to rejoice, because Tamara Leigh’s latest book downloaded to my Kindle overnight! Boundless is book number six in her Age of Conquest series and I can’t wait to dive in. Unfortunately, I have another book to finish before I can dive in, but that just means I can relish the anticipation for a little longer. Provided I can actually hold out… 😁

Reckless (Tamara Leigh) – Review

THE WULFRITHS. IT ALL BEGAN WITH A WOMAN

A battle. A crown. The conqueror. The conquered. Medieval England—forever changed by the Battle of Hastings. And the rise of the formidable Wulfriths.

A REBEL MOST WANTED

Vitalis of the Saxon resistance wearies of leading men to victory only to next lead them to death at the hands of the invaders. But when an opportunity arises to shame the Norman who claims England’s throne, he takes it, as well as proof of that shaming. Now more than ever, William the Conqueror is determined to capture the rebel leader. And greater that possibility when Vitalis must keep his word to recover an impetuous Norman lady abducted by Saxon allies. Can he free her without making enemies of his own people? More, can he forgive the one determined to pry open his heart when bloodshed proves the price of her release?

First Line Friday – Reckless (Tamara Leigh)

Happy Friday, and welcome to First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books. And happy week, since it delivered a new book by Tamara Leigh straight to my Kindle! Reckless is book number five in the Age of Conquest series, the story of Saxon warrior Vitalis and Norman-born Lady Nicola D’Argent. And what a story it is. The appellation “Reckless” is not unjustified, but I found it impossible to dislike Nicola, and I was a very willing captive until their tale was all told. Look for my review coming soon!

Heartless (Tamara Leigh) – Review

A HEARTLESS NORMAN

Chevalier Maël D’Argent lost more than his striking looks when he aided the Duke of Normandy in taking the English throne from King Harold. As much by his own actions at the Battle of Hastings as those of the enemy, he lost his sire and his honor in breaking faith with his family. Believing himself unworthy of forgiveness, his ruined face the least due him, Maël now serves a ruthless man bent on subduing Saxons resistant to Norman rule. But when his mission to safeguard King William’s dignity leads to the rescue of a curiously familiar Saxon woman who causes the empty place inside him to strain its seams, he discovers he may not be as heartless as the one he serves—nor resistant to the wiles of one he ought to count an enemy.

First Line Friday – Heartless (Tamara Leigh)

Happy Friday, book lovers, and welcome to First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books. If you don’t know how much I love Tamara Leigh’s medieval romances, then you haven’t been hanging around here long enough. Lol! HEARTLESS, Book four in her Age of Conquest series, released a little over a week ago, and I’m taking the opportunity to read it for the second time! Some of you may remember I received a very special early copy when Tamara visited Australia earlier this year (back when we were actually allowed to travel!), but I now have a Kindle copy as well so that I can highlight all my favourite parts. ❤️️ Anyone else have their favourite books in more than one format?

Faking Grace (Tamara Leigh) – Review

ALL SHE WANTS IS A JOB. ALL SHE NEEDS IS RELIGION. HOW HARD CAN IT BE?

Maizy Grace Stewart dreams of a career as an investigative journalist, but her last job ended in disaster when her compassion cost her employer a juicy headline. A part-time gig at a Nashville newspaper might be her big break.

A second job at Steeple Side Christian Resources could help pay the bills, but they only hire committed Christians. Maizy is sure she can fake it with her Five-Step Program to Authentic Christian Faith. If only Jack Prentiss, Steeple Side’s managing editor and British hottie, wasn’t determined to prove her a fraud.

Happy Friday, book lovers, and welcome to First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books. Like most, if not all of you, we here in Australia are hunkering down at home in the spirit of social distancing. And after finishing a rather emotional read by Nicole Deese last night (Before I Called You Mine, featured over on the main Hoarding Books post today), I was in the need for something light. Tamara Leigh’s Head Over Heels series to the rescue!
