Today’s Word Nerd post is going to be a quick one, because I am up to my eyeballs in reviews! It’s another round of “What do you think it means?” with some Aussie slang: budgie smugglers. All I’m going to tell you is that it’s a noun. So, what do you think Australians are referring to when we get out the budgie smugglers? If you already know what it refers to, perhaps you could get creative and make up an alternative name—without giving away the answer! As always, I’ll have the answer for you next week.
