Welcome to First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books! I’m having a particularly emotional week this week, thanks to some thoughtless book planning on my behalf. Perhaps I was doing it late at night (highly possible), because at some point I thought it would be a good idea to put Heidi Chiavaroli’s The Hidden Side and Catherine West’s Where Hope Begins (review to come) one after the other on my reading schedule. 😳 Can anyone say ’emotional overload’?!
Seriously, though, they’re both fabulous books, and I highly recommend them. Just . . . perhaps not one after the other! Give yourself some recovery time in between! With that said, let me introduce you to Where Hope Begins. I think you’ll find the first line explains exactly why it’s an emotional read.
~ About the Book ~
Savannah Barrington has always found solace at her parents’ lake house in the Berkshires, and it’s the place that she runs to when her husband of over twenty years leaves her. Though her world is shaken, and the future uncertain, she finds hope through an old woman’s wisdom, a little girl’s laughter, and a man who’s willing to risk his own heart to prove to Savannah that she is worthy of love.
