Welcome to the weekend, book lovers! Are you ready to discover a new author with me?
This week I’m not just introducing you to an author; I’m introducing you to one of my favourite bookish people in general: Rachel McMillan. Not only do each of her novels sit in my Kindle library, but my TBR is also kept well-fed thanks to her regular book gushes on favourite reads from the classics to new releases and everything in between.
Rachel writes a mix of historical and contemporary stories, and if you want to discover her books, there has never been a better time to do it. First of all, she has a novella that is permanently free: Conductor of Light. This novella features Merinda and Jem from her first series, the Herringford & Watts Mysteries set in early 20th Century Toronto.
Once you’ve met Merinda and Jem, you’ll definitely want to move on to 1930s Boston and the Van Buren and DeLuca Mysteries. Murder at the Flamingo is already out, and Murder in the City of Liberty releases later this month, on 28 May 2019.
If contemporary romance in beautiful Vienna is more to your taste, you should definitely read Rachel’s contemporary romance novellas Love in Three Quarter Time and Rose in Three Quarter Time. These novellas are also available via Kindle Unlimited, so you can read them for free if you subscribe to this program! (There’s also a Christmas follow-up to Rose in Three Quarter Time called Of Mozart and Magi.)
