It’s the third day of Christmas Reads! If you’ve missed days one and two, there will be links at the bottom of this post so you can catch up, but for now, I’m very pleased to introduce today’s guest, Erica Vetsch and her novel A Child’s Christmas Wish.
~ Christmas with Erica Vetsch ~
Favourite Christmas carol – Joy to the World. 🙂
Yes! That’s a good one!
Favourite Christmas food – Connealy Crunch, a great recipe from writer-bud Mary Connealy that you can find over at Seekerville.com. http://seekerville.blogspot.com/2015/12/ (Scroll down! You’ll find TONS of fun holiday recipes, and Connealy Crunch is near the end of the post.)
I’ll have to try that one.
Favourite Christmas memory – There was a string of years where I got a new Breyer horse or two for my collection, and those have been my all-time favorite Christmas gifts!
I have a daughter who would be happy if I bought her horses every year!
Favourite Christmas Day activity – Every year, we read the Christmas story before we open gifts, and then we unpack our stockings.
What a lovely idea.
My ideal Christmas Day weather – I live in Minnesota, so snow is mandatory. No wind, and about 25 degrees and sunny is perfect!
Twenty-five degrees and sunny would be perfect here, too, but that would be Celsius, so definitely no snow!
What’s one of your family’s Christmas traditions? The Christmas Eve service at church. Also, Christmas morning, we always have waffles.
Yum!
Christmas isn’t Christmas without . . . Family
Hear, hear. 🙂
This year, I’ll be celebrating Christmas . . . We always spend Christmas at our home, because I am the company bookkeeper for our family business, and the last week of the year is super-crammed for me. We can’t travel that week. We’ll celebrate with our two children, and my FIL usually comes for lunch that day, too.
A brief Christmas message to all your readers: I am so grateful for YOU! I hope and pray that you will have a blessed Christmas full of wonderful memories with family and friends!
~ About the Author ~
Erica Vetsch is a transplanted Kansan now residing in Minnesota. She loves history and romance, and is blessed to be able to combine the two by writing historical romances. Whenever she’s not immersed in fictional worlds, she’s the company bookkeeper for the family lumber business, mother of two, wife to a man who is her total opposite and soul-mate, and avid museum patron.

~ About the Book ~
The only Christmas gift Oscar Rabb’s four-year-old daughter prays for is one the widower can’t provide: a baby sibling. And when his neighbour’s house burns down, he’s willing to open his home to pregnant and widowed Kate Amaker and her in-laws — but not his heart. Even if his little girl’s convinced Kate’s unborn child is the answer to her wish.
Kate quickly sees the generous but aloof Oscar has little interest in growing closer to his houseguests. Still, she intends to make the coming Christmas a season to remember for his daughter. And as Oscar starts to open up to her, Kate can’t help picturing just how wonderful the holidays — and a future together — might be.
