~ Christmas with Michelle Griep ~

Favourite Christmas carol – My favorite Christmas Carol is God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. The message is awesome and I love the minor key.
Yes! What is it about minor keys, I wonder? I’ve always been drawn to them.
Favourite Christmas food – I love Christmas cookies! Everything about them, from the baking to the tasting. And if I had to pick a fave, I’d go with gingerbread men. Yummy! Plus, while I bake up my batches of deliciousness, I usually put on some Hallmark Christmas movies to watch while I stir.
Oh, gingerbread! Yum!
Favourite Christmas memory – I can smile at this memory now, but back when it happened I was one angry mama. One Christmas season I had some very overdue library books and I could not find them anywhere. I was racking up some big time fines and going crazy tearing the house apart to find them…which I eventually did on Christmas Day. Turns out my 5 year old boy knew I loved reading, so he wrapped up the library books and put them under the tree.
Awww! It’s the thought that counts, right?
My ideal Christmas Day weather – My ideal Christmas weather is just below freezing with big, fluffy snowflakes falling.
I’m dreamin’…
What’s one of your family’s Christmas traditions? – The food on Christmas Day is a tradition at our house. It’s got to be homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast. And for Christmas dinner it’s wild rice soups and chicken salad croissants.
My mouth is watering right now!
Most memorable/best present you’ve ever received – My most memorable Christmas gift was a rubber chicken. Yes, I asked for it…and I named him Bill.
Lol! Do I dare ask?
If I was sitting on Santa’s knee right now, I’d ask him for . . . Tickets to London…and an expense account to go along with it.
Yes!
Send a brief Christmas message to all your readers: Christmas is the best time to show love to those around you because that’s what Christmas is all about. If I could, readers, I’d hop on a plane and spend time with you, chatting over a cup of tea. Or coffee. I’m not picky. But time and money are not in that great of abundance, so the next best thing I can think of by way of spending time with you is to give way one of my books. You’ll hear my voice loud and clear as you read the words I’ve penned. There are bits of me in each of the characters as well. So here’s hoping you’ll be the lucky winner of 12 Days at Bleakly Manor.

~ About the Book ~

A mysterious invitation to spend Christmas at an English manor home may bring danger…and love?
England, 1851: When Clara Chapman receives an intriguing invitation to spend Christmas at an English manor home, she is hesitant yet feels compelled to attend—for if she remains the duration of the twelve-day celebration, she is promised a sum of five hundred pounds.
But is she walking into danger? It appears so, especially when she comes face to face with one of the other guests—her former fiancé, Benjamin Lane.
Imprisoned unjustly, Ben wants revenge on whoever stole his honor. When he’s given the chance to gain his freedom, he jumps at it—and is faced with the anger of the woman he stood up at the altar. Brought together under mysterious circumstances, Clara and Ben discover that what they’ve been striving for isn’t what ultimately matters.
What matters most is what Christmas is all about . . . love.
Pour a cup of tea and settle in for Book 1 of the Once Upon a Dickens Christmas series–a page-turning Victorian-era holiday tale–by Michelle Griep, a reader and critic favorite.
